PaymentWorks is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer with a strong leaning toward backend development to enhance and expand our digital payment platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience building web applications in Python and Django, with a passion for crafting robust backend solutions and a willingness to engage with fullstack responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Django/Python.
- Design and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Participate in the development and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Collaborate on the design of new features and optimization of existing features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and propose adjustments to workflows and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and troubleshooting of frontend UIs interacting with backend APIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in fullstack development with a significant focus on backend development.
- Strong experience with modern languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Proven ability to build complex web systems and applications.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience working within distributed systems, understanding scalability and reliability aspects.
- Working familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
Desired Expertise:
- Strong experience with web application development using Python and Django
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Experience working with modern cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- Strong grasp of database modeling and management.
- Proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation.
