Channel Sales Team Lead – Regulated Industries

Our Bank Channel Team Lead is responsible for working with the largest banks in the world. You will manage both newly signed partnerships and existing partnerships. You will grow the partnerships from a sales, marketing, and technology integration perspective. You will need to work closely with our internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Support) in conjunction with the bank's adjacent teams to manage all aspects of the relationship. This role needs a diverse skill set that can handle selling, sales management, leading large enablement sessions, planning, program governance and execution, and communicating with executives. This role will report directly to the Head of Strategic Partnerships.
You will own:
- The overall bank partner relationship and success
- Collaborating with our partner from a sales, marketing, and tech perspective
- The sales number coming from the bank and the strategy to get there
- Our channel sales process with the bank
- Management of all aspects of the program including enforcement of program rules and creating governance around the rules
- Cross-team collaboration with product, sales, marketing, finance, etc, to ensure communication and success
- Metrics and reporting of your partnership
A day in the life:
- Manage, track, and execute on partner-specific sales, marketing, and enablement plans
- Develop and deliver ongoing training for internal stakeholders and partner enablement
- SME for sales on partner opportunities to help progress pipeline activity
- Be the key resource to answer common product and service questions for Partner
- Own the execution of partner KPIs, to consistently iterate for improvement
- Manage weekly program updates, governance and reporting
- Log activity in CRM
- Work with marketing to create and update partner information/collateral on a proactive basis
- Work with the bank’s leads and executives to accomplish overarching goals and key performance metrics
- Collaborate and share partner feedback internally with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and other teams to enhance ongoing outcomes for partner and PaymentWorks
- Expand into additional lines of business with existing partners
- Help scale partnership function through documentation and metric tracking for operational scaling, including using internal systems (Hubspot, Confluence)
- Help transition the company to new channel sales models (reseller)
About you
- Ten years of experience in a relationship-driven role (preferably with banks)
- A self-starter who enjoys working with people
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and have a positive impact
- Experience in direct sales, channel sales, or business development
- Ability to navigate large matrixed organizations
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented and strong project management and coordination skills
- Highly resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
- Interest in being part of a fast-paced startup environment
- Ability to work remotely with travel 30%
